Why I Write

"In those words, you are not alone."

I want to be a writer. One whose writing makes sense and can be ‘appreciated’. One whose book you can stumble upon at a used bookstore and sit up straight in your seat a few pages in because you realise it's one of those books that will stick with you even after you've forgotten it. The kind of book that reminds you that as long as there are people, there are others who have felt the same as you, and even if you are separated by leagues of sea or millenia, in that moment, in those words, you are not alone. That’s why I write.
